DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To maintain our local presence, increase market share and expand the trading area, it is essential we continue to proactively contact fuel purchasers by telephone and manage incoming calls.
During colder months, trade is brisk and your role will involve lots of order processing, whilst building relationships with customers, managing accounts and upselling other products where required.
During warmer months when a drop in fuel/oil occurs, you will need to be more proactive, outbound calling and recognising opportunities to expand your client base and increase customer loyalty.
The role will encompass a mixture of account management and new business development including cold calling.
Domestic customers orders are mostly inbound calls.
The nature of your proactive outbound calls will be business to business - contacting and marketing fuel and your organisation to industrial, agricultural and commercial clients.
Negotiating with customers to ensure depot and personal targets are achieved.
Developing a rapport and long term relationships with key accounts.
Managing customer records and diary effectively.
Growing the volume and profit of the business through personal success.
Being willing to learn all aspects of the depot operation to provide support to the team when required.
Hours of work: Mon-Fri shifted between 8:30am-5:30pm
During Winter months compulsory overtime is required, normally one in every three Saturdays and involves 4 hours work in the morning paid as overtime
Proven depot or office based outbound sales experience/telesales experience essential
Fuel/oil industry experience highly desirable
Car owner and driver essential due to location

Circa £20,000 + bonus OTE 26k per annum + overtime payment for any weekend work.
